Directed by Hiroki Hayachi , Tenchi is a wacky love-comedy featuring beings from outer space. Young Tenchi Masaki awakens Ryoko , the most notable intergalactic fugitive who has been imprisoned for some 700 years beneath the shrine of the Masaki family , from her centuries-long slumber and the fun --err nightmare begins for Tenchi. Ryoko chases him throughout the schoolyard and through his home , hurling powerful bolts of lightning from her hands. When she isn't trying to kill him , she's trying to seduce him and she has brought some powerful friends and enemies to add to the confusion.
